Hello.
Recently the russian localization of your Motorola Milestone product has been announced and published by several sources here in Russia. You can find the photo of the hardware keyboard (russian edition) here:

On behalf of many of your potential customers I should tell you that we are very happy Motorola is going to be on Russian market, this brand is known for it's high quality products and is very respectable for some previous models of phones (i.e. L7e). Unfortunately we were completely disappointed to see significant mistakes which your staff made when positioning russian letters on the hardware keyboard. As you can see some russian letters were placed paired on one hardware key, and this can be explained by lack of keys. For example letters 'Й' and 'Ц' are placed on key 'Q 1'. And I believe many users can get used to it.
But the fact that you exchaged locations of two russian letters, that are on english letters 'O 9' and '? )' and also the fact that comma can't be entered on the hardware keyboard while you are using Russian layout make the keyboard nearly impossible to use. Russian letter 'Э' placed on 'O 9' should be exchanged with the letter 'З' placed on '? )'. We know the letters are much alike, but they are really different letters! Just imagine what could happen if by some reason you mispositioned English letters 'V' and 'Y'. Would Motorola treat this as a bug, or would you just give this buggy layout to your english speaking customers?
And please, could you do something with comma? In our Russian language we do use commas a lot, actually comma is a very important part of the language. The fact that we need to press 3 keys to enter comma in Russian layout (we need to switch to english, then enter comma, then back to russian) is also very disappointing.
There are large discussions on famous forums like mobile-review.com and 4pda.ru concerning the hardware keyboard Milestone will have in Russia. You can find them on the last pages of these threads:

Most people say they will cancel their preorders. The only way for Motorola to stay successfully on Russian market with their Milestone is to make an urgent announcement, that all the buggy keyboards will be replaced for free for Milestone and all the next Milestone shipments will have those bugs already corrected.
With best wishes and regards,
your Milestone customer,
Sergey XXXXXX.
PS: I'm going to publish this email in the forums mentioned above. And all of us are looking forward to receiving a reply. Thank you in advance.
